JUST A CRUMB

Have you ever prayed for something and felt like God gave you an answer you didn’t want?

You prayed for healing, but the situation got worse. You prayed for an opportunity, but the door stayed closed. You prayed for God to move, but all you heard was silence.

What do you do when God’s answer is difficult?

In Mark 7, a desperate mother comes to Jesus because her daughter is suffering. She falls at His feet and begs Him for help. But Jesus gives her an answer that sounds like rejection. He tells her that the children should be fed first.

She could have walked away offended. She could have decided Jesus wasn’t worth pursuing. Instead, she leans in.

She says, “Even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.”

In other words: “Jesus, I’ll take whatever You’re willing to give me. I still believe You are the answer.”

That kind of faith is powerful. It’s the kind of faith that doesn't stop praying for a love one who's been battling addiction for years.

A difficult answer isn’t always a final answer.

Maybe you’re in a season where God feels distant. Maybe you’re waiting for an answer that hasn’t come yet disappointed by what you thought God would do. I encourage you.

Don’t abandon Jesus because the answer is difficult.

Keep praying.

Keep obeying.

Keep pursuing Jesus.

Keep trusting His character.

Why?

Because all you need is a crumb.

A little grace is enough to keep going. A little hope is enough to take another step. A pebble of faith can bring a mountain to the ground. One word from Jesus can change everything.

And if you’re not sure what you believe about Jesus, you don’t have to have everything figured out today. Just take the next step toward Him.

The woman in Mark 7 came desperate, but she went home to discover her daughter ha been transformed.

When the answer is difficult, don’t walk away. Remember all I need is a crumb from God to change everything.
