Small Beginnings
Have you ever felt discouraged because you couldn't see God doing anything?
You pray, serve, share your faith, raise your children, or faithfully obey God, yet nothing seems to change. The results you hoped for haven't arrived. The growth feels invisible. The progress seems painfully slow.
In Mark 4, Jesus compares the Kingdom of God to a seed. A seed is small, unimpressive, and easy to overlook. Yet hidden inside that tiny seed is life, power, and potential far greater than what the eye can see. The farmer scatters the seed and waits. Day after day, while he sleeps and rises, God is at work beneath the surface.
That's often how God works in our lives.
We want God to start big and move fast. We want immediate transformation, visible results, and dramatic breakthroughs. But God's Kingdom often begins with a small act of obedience, a quiet prayer, a simple conversation, or a single step of faith.
Our beginning may not look impressive but that doesn't mean it won't be impactful.
Think about what God has done throughout Scripture. He started with one family to bless the nations, one shepherd boy to become king, and one baby born in Bethlehem to become the Savior of the world. What appeared insignificant became extraordinary because God was in it.
Maybe the seed God has placed in your life feels small today. Don't despise it. Don't abandon it because the harvest hasn't arrived. God is still working beneath the surface. His timing is perfect, and His power never fails.
What God starts small, He can grow into something far greater than you ever imagined.
